How are we half way through June and the year already?  I wrongly assumed that being in lockdown would mean that time was going to drag.

It’s been far from dragging.  Our days are flying by and we’re already in week 4 of our first full Lockdown Bootcamp.

Some days I feel like I’m winning and get lots done, other days I feel like I’m literally chasing my tail.  The tail being two children with limitless energy.

I’ve spoken to lots of people who feel the same.  Some barely know what day it is as routine has been dumped out the window.

I personally work best with routine, it’s why we stuck to the same days for our online bootcamp and classes.  It creates a routine for us.

I also try and plan my week, the above tail sometimes scupper my plan but I set out the most important things I need to achieve that week and go from there.

Each morning, I have a little ritual that sets me up for the morning and includes planning the most important things for me to do during that day.  I try and tie that in to my week goal but can be something random.

I was disappointed last night because I thought I would achieve more during the day until Fran pointed out that it was Monday and I only need to make sure that the kids survive our time together as it’s her busy day 🙂

Included in my day plan is usually some time for me to just be; sometimes I meditate, sometimes I do breath work, sometimes I sit and have a cup of tea in the garden (it’s my favourite if the kids are playing and Fran can join me).

When there is so much uncertainty around us, it’s important to have some time to yourself and also to have a routine, ritual, schedule, whatever you want to call it.

When I don’t the days feel like they are drifting by.

If you want to add exercise and get some additional support with nutrition and general wellness, we start our next Lockdown Bootcamp on Monday.
