What are you committed to achieving, being or doing before the end of the year?
I’m committed to being a better example to my kids, what that means will be different for everyone.
To me; it means that I’ll be less grumpy, have more energy to do fun stuff, I won’t scoff loads of sweets in front of them and tell them that they can’t have any because they’ve had enough and I’ll play when they want me to play.
I’ve told them “in a minute” too many times recently while I’m doing stuff that I could put off until later rather than them. I want them to know how important they are and not grow up thinking that they were brushed off for work.
I’ve started putting my phone on the shelf in the hall way when I’m in the house and that has made a big difference in our interactions. I’m less distracted when I’m with them.
To do all of that, I have to commit to managing my energy and state / mood.
Which means getting to bed on time, meditating, eating more vegetables, having my greens drink daily not just when I’m out on my bike and being more consistent with my own exercise plan.
Every action we choose either takes us closer to being who we want to be or further away. I don’t have to be perfect, just pick more actions that move me forwards.
What are you committing to before the end of the 2020.
