I’ve had a few conversations this week with injury therapy clients about the type of exercise they do and what they want to achieve from it.
Some of my clients are athletes who want to improve their performance or return to full activity following injury.
Most of us simply want to get out of bed in the morning without pain and age related grunts and groans.
To be able to play with our kids and open a jar of marmalade without needing one of those old people gadgets from the better ware book.
Over the past few months, I’ve tweaked our bootcamp sessions to include a little more focused strength, mobility and flexibility work.
These are the things that help us function at our best as we get a little older than our brain believes we are.
In my head, I’m barely in my late 20’s and I act accordingly when I’m with my kids. My body knows that ship sailed decades ago and takes a bit longer to recover.
When I’m consistent with strength and mobility work, I recover quicker and can get away with trying handstands and swinging from the bars with the kids at the park.
We’re starting our pen-ultimate home bootcamp of the year on Monday, if you want to feel fitter, more mobile and stronger now rather than waiting for 2022 click the link below and join us.
