Lose weight.

Get fit.

Eat well.

Drink less booze.

Stop smoking.

And none of them should be anything to do with “I’ll be happy when I …”

There’s a good chance that you won’t be.

Being lighter, fitter and looking after your health doesn’t automatically make you happy.

Doing those things will certainly help but only when you address the reasons why you are unhappy.

Getting started on a new plan can be a great distraction, especially in those first few weeks when results are easily achieved.

Over the past few weeks I have worked with several people who are struggling to achieve their goals; every single one of them is amazing and deserve all of the success they receive.

Yet at some level, they have struggled with self worth and believing they are good enough, worthy and even loved.

I think it’s something we all struggle with at various phases in our lives.  I know I certainly do in many aspects of my life.

The purpose of this message is just to let you know that you are loved, you do deserve it, you are good enough and the world is a better place because you are part of it.

I was planning on writing this message today and then discovered it’s World Suicide Prevention Day and that made it all the more important to say.

We’ve been to the zoo today and witnessed a 100+ year old Aldabra tortoise couple getting it on.

Don’t attach happiness to a number, find something that makes you happy and do it.
