It’s Thanksgiving Day in the U.S.A. today, one of the celebrations that I really like the sentiment behind.

Anything with lots of food and merriment must be good in my book.

Apparently, it’s not only about getting fuelled up for the onslaught of Black Friday sales.  It’s about being grateful for everything you have in life.

I’ve been guilty in the past of not really appreciating my life, blaming circumstance on why I couldn’t do the things I wanted to do.

In these times, I generally find that I haven’t been looking after myself very well; I’m tired, have never ending aches and pains, and find it difficult to leave the kitchen without a tasty treat.

It’s in those times, that I’ve slacked on meditation, breath work and exercise in general.

When I catch myself in these situations I have a little reset.  A little reminder that I have an amazing life.

I have a beautiful wife that supports me in the randomness that I generate.  My kids can match me for energy and hype.

My job is to help people feel fantastic.

I am surrounded by inspiring friends, clients and students who drive me to be better.

When I realise what I have and what I get to do, I’m truly grateful and content.

And that’s what this should all be about, not sales and 99% off the latest Bluetooth hairdryer, simply being content with what you have.
