We woke up suddenly because the truck alarm was blaring at 2am.
I’d left Fran’s road bike in the boot over night and was worried that somebody was trying to steal it. I rushed down the stairs and out to confront the criminals on the driveway.
False alarm, nobody was there.
I then realised that I was naked in the street, I went in to the house to wrap a jacket around my waist so I could get the bike in.
When a neighbour opened her curtains to check everything was ok, I realised that tying a know in sleeves at the front, still leaves a lot exposed. I quickly, twisted the jacket around to reach in to the boot.
Showing our neighbour a full moon as I lent forward 🤦♂️.
The thing is, I thought I had a plan. That plan involved at least grabbing some bottoms.
We see the same happening with food and fitness plans at this time of year.
Everyone has good intentions for when they’re on holiday etc. Day one arrives and we go to town on the breakfast buffet or we have heat last week and each meal has an ice cream second course.
What can you do about it?
Have a plan that has some wiggle room.
If it’s too hot to train, go for a walk, have a stretch session or have the day off, make up for it later in the week.
Need more ice cream to cool down? If it’s going to be a regular multiple times per day option, look at the smaller lower calorie options like twisters. If it’s a one off, don’t worry about it, have the one you want.
Do you need to exercise and watch your food intake on holiday?
It depends. My preference for my clients is that they try to be active by doing things they wouldn’t normally do and simple not take the pee with food choices.
What do you do?
