I’m spending the next few days reviewing my past quarter.
Specifically, looking at my wins and disappointments and establishing what made them happen.
It was a busy quarter for us as a family; lots of trips and activities, therapy sessions with both kids, events and Fran and I even managed a night out.
I started the quarter with the Coventry Way walk, finished with a Jurassic Coast run lead by former special forces and hiked a few mountains in between.
The goals that went well / I achieved were the ones that I planned in to our schedule and generally involved helping somebody else.
The “disappointments” didn’t get done / achieved because I hadn’t set time aside to do them. They were also the things that nobody directly benefitted from other than me. Stuff like fasting, meditation and some fitness things. Obviously, when they improve me, via energy, mindset or focus, those around me do benefit. Without making time in my diary to complete them, they get missed.
Some of my fitness goals were switched due to an injury.
Something that wasn’t a goal but really disappointed me, was my lack of emails / blogs. In quarter 1, I wrote nearly 60 in the 90 days as that was my target, I didn’t set it as a target as I thought it was already habit.
How wrong I was, I think I totalled about 6.
This is my public accountability, I will write at least 50 blog posts between now and the end of September. I obviously need a number to chase.
As always, I write these messages on health, nutrition, mindset and fitness as reminders to myself; I hope you find them interesting and informative. If you no longer wish to receive them, there is an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email version.
