We went for a family walk yesterday with Fran’s sister and kids at Burbage Common and Woods.
It was a nice afternoon and the kids had a real game going for about 30 minutes where they were building some dens with all sorts of details included as part of their game.
As a result, we were standing around chatting.
Fran and her sister normally train together on a Sunday morning but it didn’t happen yesterday, so they decided to crack on and do it while we were waiting. I gave them a few options and the kids found some reasonable alternatives to use as weights.
It wasn’t an ideal session, it was however a session done and in the bag.
They finished and we carried on with our walk.
Exercise and nutrition don’t have to be perfect. Too many people don’t do anything if they can’t do the session that they had planned, something is better than nothing.
If your diet goes off track, get back on it, straight away, not the next day, next week, next month or quarter. Immediately.
As always, consistently doing ok will out perform doing perfectly never.
