And it’s far from perfect.
And I’m learning to be happy with that.
How you measure your progress is as important as the goal itself.
Particularly when looking at our health. Too often do we set an ideal picture of what we want to look like / perform like etc, to then not start because it seems so far away.
We set the perfect programme or diet to hit our goals, then revert back to eating crap at the first hint of rice cake.
There is no perfect amount of exercise or a diet that works for everybody every time. There is only the plan for food and movement that you can stick with long term.
A plan that allows for bumps in the road, nights out and the occasional full trifle or cheesecake. 😉
If you miss a workout, it doesn’t matter. If you don’t workout at all, it does.
If you’re not exercising at the minute, get started. There are no downsides to moving better, being stronger and feeling good.
Just remember to look at where you started as a measure of success. Not how far you perceive to be away from the ideal.
Our home bootcamp starts a fresh block on Monday, the plan we follow improves your fitness, strength and movement for every day life. If you’re in a rut at the minute, give us a try.
