I’ve hit the big 50 today.
When I was 18, I thought that 30 was ancient, wondering if I’d still be able to kick and move around in the same way.
Here I am at 50 and I take a little longer to recover but I’m still moving pretty well and try to enjoy everything life throws at me.
Those of you with kids know that today isn’t really about me either.
K woke me up at 4.50am to say Happy Birthday, A woke Fran up at 4.30am but drifted off for another 40 minutes. We’ve been on the go since.
Our day will be spent chilling, entertaining the kids and being referee in the battles that always happen when it’s been such an early start.
We should then get a little time to chill this evening when Fran finishes work.
I’m happy being in the 50 club, I’ve got some great people in my life and family.
It’s much better and less painful than the “100 club”, I joined at uni. To become a member you had to drink a 35mm camera case of lager on the minute, every minute for 100 minutes, it took a few attempts but I did it.
I woke up from that with the aches and pains I do now, maybe that’s why I don’t feel worried about my age, lots of prep in the past.
Thank you for taking the time out of your days for reading my ramblings, I hope you find them useful and maybe a little entertaining.
