Today, we celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary.
That time has been full of adventure, mountains, beaches, lots of food, parties, dogs, love, life and heartbreak.
We add to each other’s lives and enhance who we are as humans.
Fran has supported me through some ridiculous events, that were ultimately as challenging for her as the support crew.
She is my voice of reason but also the one who will push me to do a little more and assume I’ll be alright 😉
Since our kids moved in she has fought their corner and advocated for them at every opportunity. I found being a parent really hard at first, Fran led the way and thrived, encouraging me on my journey.
Life can be hard at times and knowing that your partner has your back can change how you perceive it.
A hand to hold or press on your shoulder can give you the confidence to take on the world.
Apparently, the gift for 16 years is wax, I think I’m going to stick with a nice steak and a glass of wine though.
