We went to Coventry Cathedral this afternoon to watch “The Snowman” with a live Orchestra.

It was magical and a nice distraction for the kids, a bonus was they had “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt” on as a warm up.  It was one of my favourite books to read to K and A when they moved in.

We went with friends and had a wonder through the precinct to look at the lights and get festive, ending up at the new-ish park by the “Three Tuns”, which I think is a fast food place now.

All the kids had a little play on the park with Alfie showing off his climbing and clambering prowess before getting distracted by the light show fountain, it’s worth a look if you’re in Coventry at night.

The calm and quiet distraction of the lights didn’t last long, they all ended up running through the fountains and getting soaked.

K ended up taking her shoes, socks and jacket off and running through when it was on full flow.

Their joy and laughter playing is what the Christmas season is really about.

Get out tomorrow and do something just for the joy of it and the laughter it brings.
