Did you know that you were meant to be blue on Monday?
It is the most depressing day of the year, well, according to the travel marketing company that invented it to create post Christmas holiday sales. Good move on their part, it’s still being referred to years later.
However, it is more common to feel a little down at this time of year due to the weather and lack of sunlight. Supplementing vitamin D can help, just get one with K2 and also make sure you have adequate magnesium; we use these – https://amzn.to/4jODyax and https://amzn.to/4qxQmVi
Getting outside when you can and focussing on good sleep and hydration will give you better results though. So many of us are walking around exhausted from poor quality sleep and mild dehydration.
When it’s cold and miserable, we tend to be slack on drinking water and get by on a few cups of tea or coffee during the day. Try to up your fluids for a few days and see how you feel.
I’m always playing around with ways to try and improve the quality of sleep I get.
Currently, I’ve going with a few minutes of breath work when I first get in to bed.
Breathe in for 4 counts, hold for 7 counts and exhale for 8 counts; repeat for 5 – 10 minutes.
Try it for a few nights and let me know how you get on.
