The world of social media is already full of “healthy” pancake recipes. Fitspiration people who have 1000’s of followers offering all sorts of low calorie, high protein and cardboardy tasting options.
To be honest, we used to do the same and gave out recipes for our members to enjoy an alternative version of pancakes.
We were focused on our members having a perfect diet; then we realised the truth about a perfect diet.
Which is; the perfect diet is the one you can follow full-time. Ultimately being consistent every week until you reach your goal and beyond.
If that includes having some pancakes, that’s cool. As long as they fit in to your plan go for it. Just be an adult and don’t take the p!ss.
I’m not sure we’ll be having any pancakes today as we’re away and don’t have the ingredients with us. The kids don’t miss out though, we have pancakes on a regular basis.
It’s one of their favourite breakfasts; A knows the recipe, we just don’t let him near the hot bits yet.
We go with the 3, 2, 1 method.
300ml milk
2 eggs
100g flour
Whizz up and fry in butter.
Our kids go with simple sugar; sprinkled on, roll and then a bit more for dipping.
Fran and I stick with lemon and sugar.
