Apparently, it’s called masterDating.

On Sunday, I went to the cinema on my own to see the new Spider-Man film, it was brilliant and I definitely recommend it; especially if you have a little background knowledge from the comics.

I can’t believe that I haven’t actually been to the cinema solo before now.  You don’t actually speak during the film anyway.
I went on my own because my mates who I normally go with weren’t available and I wanted to check it out before I take the kids. They’ve watched most things Marvel but sometimes there’s content we might have to explain and forewarned is forearmed as they say.

Although, I actually wanted to see it without having to control K & A, miss 15 minutes for pee breaks etc.

Which goes back to the basic of health of looking after yourself and doing things specifically for you.  When you look after you, your capacity to look after others is increased.

My Mum slipped off her chair at the weekend while I was teaching in Warwick, Fran went round and easily picked her up off the floor.

Proving again, as we age fitness and training are less about aesthetics and more about maintaining or increasing your ability to cope with anything life throws at you, kids with additional needs and elderly parents add a little spice.

Getting out for a solo cinema trip, a coffee and a bite to eat can give you the time and space to appreciate the time with those around you, give it a go.
