Something I’ve noticed over the past couple of weeks and more so over the past couple of days is that some people have already given up on the year.
They’re already getting started with the “I’ll get started in January” type language.
Not knowing what’s going to happen over the coming months and being put in to lockdown over the next 4 weeks is having adverse effects on us all.
The uncertainty can be draining, it feels like your purpose is being driven by somebody else.
Like I said yesterday though, we can only control what we can control and choose how we react to the things we can’t control.
I’ve had a few weeks where I’ve been slack on my fitness training and food choices. As a result, my energy hasn’t been quite where it needs to be, which means I feel more tired in the mornings, which leads to me not doing my journal and planning my day. It spirals from there, I get triggered more easily, when normally I’m really calm.
I can’t wait for a magical date or a vaccine to change my World, I’m going to take control.
I’m starting tonight, I’ve already laid out my kit for the morning as I’m going running. I’ll set up my greens drink and coffee tonight before I go to bed so it’s easy to do when I get up.
I’ll put my journal out on the breakfast bar ready to do.
The thing with finding your mojo is that sometimes you have to get started without it. When you’ve built a little momentum, you find it’s been there all the time; you were just distracted.
There were just other things that were felt more important at the time or the benefits of looking after yourself became less important.
However, as always; you are the most important person in your life.
