There’s something special about coming home and being greeted with a twerk.

Bella, the dog we’re looking after, pads down the hallway with hips like Jessica Rabbit swaying uncontrollably with each wag of her tail.

She’ll then go and grab her duck or a trainer to give me as a gift.

I’ll then give her a little walk around the block and she’ll grab her towel to treat me to a tug of war as a sign of gratitude for taking her out.

It’s reminded me that although I’ve been using my journal again and noting a few things each day that I consider to be a win; I have got out of the habit of finishing my day reminding myself of the things I’m grateful for.

I let my friends and family know I appreciate them, maybe not enough, but when I practised a little gratitude each evening I remember feeling more content.

I’m going to start again tonight, we all have let habits slip that worked really well when life changed.

What’s something you can reintroduce that you know helped you in the past?

Is there something new you would like to try?

I recommend swinging your hips like Elsa as you walk to the door will put a smile on everyone’s face and ultimately a smiley face is what life is about.
