Or Sick sandwiches.

I hope you had an amazing Christmas and New Years.

Our involved way too much food, a little booze, lots of fun and activities.

We got out on yesterday for a family walk at Beacon Hill in Leicestershire.

Our kids like to plan the day as soon as they wake up (very early) and our ears may have not been working as well as usual. “A” said that he wanted Sick Sandwiches, we questioned him and he repeated Sick sandwiches.

He ended up getting frustrated and shouting that he was bigger now and four sandwiches would not be enough.

We had proper belly laughs and it was only 5.30am on New Year’s Day.

May our year continue in the same way.

This morning, I was catching up on a recorded mindset and 2023 review training from my coach and one of the slides was:

“Laughter is an underrated metric for a life being lived”.

It really struck a cord with me at a time when I’m planning out my goals for the year; as we all do at this time of the year.

I try to have fun as much as possible whenever possible, the area me and my training partners practice at Jitz is the “fun corner” because there is always a sound of giggling.

Yet some of the goals I was setting were far from being enjoyable and not really fitting in with my values either.  I got caught up in looking at the goals of others and thinking, I should do that.

While setting your goals make sure they make you doubt whether they are achievable, are exciting or have an impact on others when you achieve them.

The purpose then goes way beyond the goal itself.

If you can add some fun and excitement in to achieving your goals, you have more chance of success.
