It has always been you.
It will always be you.
You are the most important person in your life.
I’ve had to remind a few people about that this week.
If you don’t put yourself first, you will have less of you to go around.
It’s hard as a parent to allow yourself time or prioritise your needs to ensure you fire on all cylinders.
I’m better at it than Fran, obviously it’s not a competition and I might be Fran’s problem, you can delete that might be if you wish.
I go for a swim and a run / ride most weeks with friends, I get to Jitz at least once per week and train in the garden with a friend. I have to do physical things to give my brain a fighting chance of control.
I also started meditating in the morning again on Monday, I’ve felt better as a result.
Fran managed to join me for 10 minutes of one before being landed on and a kick off following about going down stairs.
Again I’m sharing for public accountability, one of my outcomes for the next quarter is to create time for Fran to be Fran.
For her to feel comfortable taking the time to be the most important person in her life.
When Fran is her best self, our life runs so smoothly; she makes organising the 3 children in the house (me being the biggest one) seem effortless.
When I’ve been away, I get back to a tidy house and calm children, an hour in and chaos ensues.
If Fran is a little off her game, that chaos turns in to a monster that is hard to tame. She always manages to find away though, for which I’m eternally grateful.
Fran gives me the space to be the best me, by helping her be her best imagine how great I’ll be😉
