When it comes to applying make up, I’ve always believed in the principle of “less is more”.

Using the make up to enhance your features rather than plastering on with a trowel to disguise who you are.  This will make much more sense when you see the image below.

A had a play date and K decided that she was going to do my make up, she also did my hair with her new wig and my nails.

I think she got the balance right and I look enhanced 🤣🤣

After online bootcamp last night, we had a discussion about chocolate.  One of our members has been struggling to control how much she’s having and was asking for ways of giving it up completely.

That may need to be the case, however my preference is the same as for make up.

Less is more.

Picking a high quality / more indulgent version of the chocolate that satisfies the chocolate munchies more than a bar of dairy milk or five freddo’s.  I’d much rather have a strip of Green & Black’s butterscotch or dark chocolate with ginger than a cheaper type.

It gives me the feeling that I’ve had something tasty and worthwhile.

I’ll occasionally have more but I’m more likely to control the urge with better tasting stuff.

The same with cakes etc, I’m fortunate to have some very good bakers in my life, I’d rather wait and have a slice or two of Fran’s banana cake than have a piece in Costa.

I haven’t had a shop bought chocolate brownie for years, they’re always really disappointing in comparison to my friend Julie’s.

A diet doesn’t have to be perfect to work, it simply has to be consistent and maintainable for life.  Finding a way to have a treat that fit’s in to your day, week or month can really help with that.
