So yesterday was apparently “Blue Monday”, the most depressing day of the year.

The combination of early December wages, feeling a bit frumpy, the weather and the likelihood that any resolutions have been well and truly left behind were the reasons given.

The reality is that a holiday company made it up for marketing years ago to encourage people to book a holiday.

There isn’t a special day to feel a certain way, you can have any feeling at any time of any day at any time of the week, month or year.

How you react or more accurately choose to react is down to how well you have trained yourself to manage your feelings and state.

This can be through exposure to stressors, cold showers etc or through meditation / breathwork and learning to process or choose the information you are exposed to.

Personally, Mondays are always really busy for us as a family, I didn’t remember it was a thing until I had a bit of free time in the evening when the kids were asleep. I had a quick doom scroll on social media and saw how many people were letting the media affect their day.

It takes a bit of work but you can choose to react to external events in a way that works for you and your family.

If you need a place to start, get in touch.
