I was discussing getting back on track with a friend yesterday.  He had been doing pretty well but had slipped on a few habits which slowed his results right down.

He was going to get his birthday and weekend out of the way and “Get back on it”.

I’ve used that phrase lots of times myself but realised yesterday that if you have to keep getting back on “it”; “it” probably isn’t the right thing to be on.

The Real Food Plan followed 100% gets amazing results and everyone who does it feels amazing at the end of the first four weeks.  However, since our kids moved in we realised just how hard going 100% is.

We now help our members find a version that works for them on a full time basis, with room for tweaks and slips when necessary.  A version that still gets results and helps them feel amazing.

That’s the next step with my mate. A sit down with a coffee or beer to find the way that will get results and fit his lifestyle.

There will need to be some changes; we’ll just pick ones that are simple to follow consistently.

The purpose of a goal isn’t the goal itself; it’s who you have to become on the way.

To hit a weight loss target, you might have to:

Be the person who gets 5000 steps in before the house gets going and breakfast.

Be the person who doesn’t stop for a kebab on the way home from training. I feel ravenous after BJJ but know that I don’t require any food / energy at 10pm to go home, grab a quick shower and go to bed.

Be the person that doesn’t miss a training session.

Be the person who eats vegetables at every meal.

Be the person who doesn’t pick from the fridge or snack cupboard every time they go in to the kitchen.

Which person do you need to be to hit your goals.
