It’s International Women’s Day, a day to celebrate and recognise the women in our World.
A day to highlight the inequality present in every area of life for women around the World.
I’m fortunate, I am surrounded by some amazing women and girls who strive to be the best they can be and bring out the best of everyone around them.
Business leaders, innovators, professors, Mums, teachers, martial artists, artists, nurses, students, baristas, sisters, nieces and everything in between.
My Mum taught me the importance of seeing the best in people, not their gender or race, she did this with her actions not her words. She was unaware of the influence she was having on me and the way I treated others, I was too really until I started working more in the personal development world.
I want to surround K with women that break the mould and don’t allow themselves to be held back by gender bias, who fight for their corner by performing consistently.
Fran, her aunties and cousins, Addy, my Saturday kick ass students and all of the women who are part of K’s life show her how to be a woman in this World.
To all of the girls and women that are in our lives, thank you; keep kicking ass.
