It was my birthday yesterday, only 1 more year to a zero one.

Thank you to everyone that took the time out of their day to send me a message.  I’m not a fan of notifications normally but I did like the little messages of positivity and joy that kept pinging on.

It was a very calm birthday weekend, some friends over on Saturday for a fire pit, marshmallows and pizza.  Sunday, started with a big walk and cooked breakfast, followed by a Sunday roast and copious amounts of cake.

Gone are the days of drinking from Friday morning until Sunday evening; mainly due to the fact I can’t handle the hangovers anymore.

Birthday’s are often a time of reflection.

I know a lot of people who stress over the number they have reached because they haven’t achieved set criteria they had set themselves as youngsters.

Married by …   Children by …  Salary equals …

I’ve never been in to that.  Strange, considering my role is to help people achieve their goals.

However, I help them set goals that are relevant to where they are now and where they want to be, not an ideal create from a magazine article or insta.

I do have days where I look at my life and think “what have I done 🤦‍♂️”?

I have more days where I’m simply content with where I am now.  We all strive to have more or be better at times, it’s vitally important to have some time to simply be though.

In my head, I feel like I’m still in my 20’s; it’s just my body that disagrees at times with some groans, whimpers and aches when I move.

When I eat well and move often that happens less.  That’s going to be my focus over the next few months; I’ve let nutrition slip and been inconsistent with mobility and fitness.

And I feel it.

With more focus, I’ll be back to feeling like my younger self in a few weeks, you can too.
